The Digital Humanities Initiative @ the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute is offering DH Summer Research Grants to Humanities graduate students interested in developing their digital humanities knowledge and projects. The grants are considered non-compensatory awards. Grant recipients will be expected to consult with DHI@FHI faculty/staff on their project plans upon receiving the award, to participate in at least one PhD Lab group meeting of grantees in Spring 2022, and to report on their activities at the end of the grant period. They will also be encouraged to present their grant outcomes at a PhD Lab group event in Fall 2022. Grantees will also be encouraged to join the DHI@FHI community and beyond at at events, workshops, and other activities throughout the year. Awards will be $2750, paid out in May and June 2022. Deadline is March 20 with notifications by early April. Eligibility includes MA, MFA, and PhD students at Duke. Please reach out to Victoria Szabo or Amanda Gould with any questions.
