How we help:
The Digital Humanities Initiative at the John Hope Franklin Humanities Institute is focused on critical approaches to digital humanities. We host speakers and events associated with DH, as well as support projects through grants programs and consulting. DHI@FHI currently sponsors the PhD Lab in Digital Knowledge and the NCCU-Duke Digital Humanities Fellows program. FHI is also a co-sponsor of the Computational Media, Arts & Cultures PhD program. DHI@FHI was the primary partner in the NEH-supported Virtual and Augmented Reality Digital Humanities Institute from 2017-20 and we continue to partner in various other campus initiatives related to DH.
